Dr Craig Parker
Centre of Excellence for Dental Implant Surgery

Dr Craig Parker limits his practice excusively to providing Dental Implant and associated surgeries, and has done so for almost 20 years. His clinic is based in Leeds, but he also provides his expertise at a limited number of highly trusted practices around Yorkshire. He regularly lectures and mentors other implant surgeons and takes referrals from other dental colleagues in the UK, providing his expertise with some of the more complex patients and implant cases. Craig is involved in research and innovation with some of the larger global medical and dental companies, designing products for use in implant surgery, often developing and perfecting new techniques and products with colleagues from around the world.

Craig is the Past President, and Honorary Life Member of the Association of Dental Implantology, a rare honour awarded to a very small cohort of implant surgeons.

What are Dental Implants?

Dental Implants are the ideal solution to fill a gap or gaps left by a missing tooth and are the nearest thing to having your own natural teeth.
Dental Implants provide an excellent, natural looking solution if you have lost, or are about to lose any of your teeth. Implants can also help if you are suffering from loose dentures and looking for a more permanent solution that doesn’t compromise on quality. With professional Dental Implant procedures at Primley Park Dentistry, Leeds, there is no need to compromise – most people can have permanent teeth that are fixed in place and do not need to be removed. You will be able to bite, chew, speak and laugh as you did with your natural teeth.

How do Dental Implants work?

Dental Implants are a fixed and secure solution to any missing, loose or broken teeth, providing you with a natural, beautiful smile and the confidence to bite, chew and eat as you would with natural teeth.

A dental implant is essentially an artificial root that is gently placed into the jawbone where the root of the tooth once was. Made of titanium, they bond to the bone to create stability – just like a natural tooth, allowing a crown or bridge to be fitted on top to replace the missing tooth or teeth. The implant can’t be seen as they are positioned to sit below the gum line. Treatment is usually completed over a number of weeks.

Following your consultation, our expert Dental Implant dentist, Dr Craig Parker, will provide you with an itemised treatment plan indicating the number of appointments required and the cost of treatment.

The Benefits of Dental Implants

As experienced providers of Dental Implants we are the popular choice for professional dental implant services in the Leeds, Harrogate and surrounding areas.

When compared to traditional alternative options, Dental Implants offer a long lasting, fixed, natural looking solution to replace loose, missing or broken teeth. With the look and feel of natural teeth, Dental Implants can dramatically enhance your smile, improve your ability to eat certain foods, support improved speech and preserve the health of surrounding teeth.

By replacing missing teeth, you can maintain bone structure in and around your jawline, helping your face retain its shape and give you the confidence to smile more often.

Dental Implants FAQs

How many Dental Implants can I have?

The number of Dental Implants you can have depends on your individual situation. Dental Implants can often be used to replace one or several adjacent missing teeth, or alternatively it is also possible to replace all of your teeth if you are struggling with ill-fitting dentures or feel that your teeth are particularly problematic. Larger gaps created by two, three or more missing teeth do not always need multiple implants. It may be possible to fit three or four teeth on a bridge supported by two Dental Implants. The exact number of Dental Implants required will depend on the results of your consultation with our expert dentist, Dr Craig Parker. Speak to one of our expert treatment coordinators on 0113 268 5645 to find out more about how Dental Implants could work for you.

It is our belief at Primley Park Dentistry, Leeds, that Dental Implants should always look and function like natural teeth. Our expert dentists ensure that all of our patients receive the highest standards of cosmetic dentistry to ensure that the implant teeth look and feel like natural teeth in every possible way.

As well as the teeth, it is equally as important that the gum and soft tissues around the Dental Implant are carefully manipulated to provide a similar contour to that seen on the adjacent teeth. The final result of this attention to detail is a beautiful, natural looking smile that many patients describe as being ‘better than their original teeth could have been’

Are Dental Implants painful?

Dental Implant treatments are carried out under local anaesthesia to ensure that you will not be able to feel any pain throughout the appointment.

Because there are no nerves, unlike when treating teeth, many patients find it a lot more comfortable and less painful than other dental treatments.

You can expect to feel a bit of soreness afterwards.

Our expert dentist, Craig Parker has been successfully offering Dental Implant services in Leeds for many years, so you can trust that your Dental Implants are being delivered by a confident, experienced and highly skilled dental surgeon.
